Stronger Wi-Fi. Smarter Workflow.

Eliminating dead zones and downtime in a 3-storey warehouse environment

The Challenge

Scan Film or Store rely on Wi-Fi-enabled barcode scanners to manage document retrieval across a complex 3-floor warehouse. But poor signal coverage was causing disruption — staff were losing time moving to signal hotspots just to log files in and out of storage. The environment posed significant challenges for coverage, with deep shelving, industrial racking, and dense box storage interfering with connectivity.

What We Did

CAB carried out a detailed on-site survey, mapping a Wi-Fi access point layout that maximised coverage and minimised interference. Using Ubiquiti access points with seamless device handover, we delivered a stable connection across all three floors.

We installed:

  • Ubiquiti Wi-Fi access points across warehouse and office areas
  • A PoE switch to allow remote management and reduce downtime
  • Separate guest and private networks, with the guest Wi-Fi ring-fenced and voucher-controlled

Signal strength was tested in every required zone before sign-off, ensuring reliable coverage where it matters.

The Outcome

  • Full Wi-Fi coverage across all floors
  • Reduced downtime and increased operational efficiency
  • Future-proofed setup with remote diagnostics and network control
  • Secure, managed guest access for visitors
  • Scan Film or Store

Scan Film or Store rely on Wi-Fi-enabled barcode scanners to manage document retrieval across a complex 3-floor warehouse.
